Something's Cooking at Madonna Manor

In conjunction with National Volunteer Appreciation Week, Madonna Manor “cooked up” a volunteer celebration of its own to recognize and thank the 50 volunteers who are the star ingredients in the wonderful mix that makes Madonna Manor such a special place. The event included a welcome reception, buffet-style dinner, and a desert smorgasbord featuring homemade treats made from recipes selected from the Mind Your Manor’s Cookbook.

Mariann Dunn, Director of Resident Services, welcomed everyone and highlighted the many contributions made by the volunteers. Manor volunteers provide activities like week-end bingos, crafts, visits with residents, assistance with special events, and help with pastoral ministry.

Following the meal, Sue McConn, the Manor’s Executive Director, shared words of thanks and presented a certificate of appreciation to each volunteer.

Madonna Manor is truly grateful to our volunteers for all they do to “spice up” the lives of our residents.
