Unrestricted Support

These valuable gifts allow Madonna Manor to maximize their impact on the residents we serve. Unrestricted gifts are applied to the most pressing needs of the Manor in fulfilling its mission.


Designated Gifts

These are gifts made to Madonna Manor which are designated by the donor, at the time the gift is made, to support a specified program such as the following:

• Benevolent Care Fund


• Chapel Fund


• Recreation Activities


• Capital Improvements

Memorial/Honorary Gifts

Donors may make a memorial or honorary gift to Madonna Manor by noting such at the time the gift is made. This is a significant and meaningful way to recognize the importance of someone special. A note will be sent to the honoree or the family acknowledging the gift on behalf of the donor. Gift amounts are kept confidential. There is special mention of these gifts in the Manor Musings newsletter and on the annual donor honor roll.

The most popular and easiest way to make a gift to Madonna Manor is by cash or check. When paying by check, please make check payable to: Madonna Manor.


Securities

Ownership of stocks and/or bonds can be transferred to Madonna Manor as a charitable gift. The value of your gift depends upon the market price of these assets when they are given. You may be entitled to a significant charitable deduction on your income tax return for a gift of appreciated securities. Planned Gifts

There are various planned giving methods to support Madonna Manor. Each offers opportunities for commitments that will have a major impact on the Manor and offer numerous benefits for the donor. Bequest-A charitable bequest allows you to keep control of your assets during your lifetime and make a gift to Madonna Manor. To ensure compliance with your wishes and to receive current recognition for your bequest gift, it is important to document your gift with the Manor.


Life Insurance-This arrangement involves the gifting of either a paid-up policy or an existing policy that is no longer needed by you. You would designate the owner and beneficiary of the insurance policy, but retain the responsibility of paying any premiums.


Retirement Plan Assets-There are significant tax implications for over-stuffed retirement plans. In order to avoid some of these taxes, you can designate Madonna Manor as beneficiary of any remaining retirement principal after your lifetime or when the income is nor longer needed.

This includes the quality and attractiveness of furnishings, equipment and accessories for parties and other activities, and items that improve the quality of resident life or the effectiveness of the staff that serves them.

27” Flat Screen HDTV for the day room in the nursing wing

Utility Vehicles for use by the Maintenance Department to service the 28-acre Manor grounds

Canopy to provide portable shade to residents and guests during outdoor activities

China and Silver for resident events such as holiday celebrations, family dinners, and tea parties
